INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD 2024

Lifted-Hearts Foundation commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child by celebrating girls at Oriwu Junior Model College, Ikorodu (JSS1), to enlighten them about hygiene during and after the menstrual cycle and the importance of being a girl child in society. 256 students, Guest speakers, patron(virtually), guests, chairman of the event, volunteers, principal, and teachers of Oriwu Model College were present at the event.

The event started about 11 pm with girls in the Oriwu Model College Hall, and they were spoken to by the guest speaker and the convener to encourage the girls, and also a practical demonstration of menstrual hygiene was conducted. They were given tips on how to stay clean and use sanitary pads effectively during periods.

256 Sanitary Pads were shared, and refreshments were shared for all the attendees.
